Trash Hero World is a global organisation, active in 17 countries with more than 400,000 volunteers worldwide. Trash Hero World is an enthusiastic, volunteer-led movement bringing about change in communities around the world.On a mass scale, Trash Hero has been able to organise, motivate and support people to collect waste and educate them about how to prevent waste in their own homes and communities. HALM has supported Trash Hero through donations since 2019 and continue to support their efforts through every sale of HALM glass straws!

More About Trash Hero Cleanups
Wherever Trash Hero is active, there are so-called " chapters ". Trash Hero counted over 16,000 cleanups worldwide with 159 official chapters in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, Singapore, Myanmar, Kuwait, Georgia, Serbia, Romania, Czech Republic, Poland, Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. Volunteers come together there and organize cleanups with a lot of commitment. In March 2022, Trash Hero World received the official advisory status in the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA) of UNEP . This means that they are among the more than 500 NGOs worldwide entitled to contribute and take part in meetings of the UNEA and its subsidiary bodies such as the Global Major Groups and the stakeholder forum to participate. Trash Hero strongly believes that meaningful and lasting change can only happen with good cooperation can be obtained.
